Tears flood from her hopeless eyes
And bring me pain
She reaches for that taunting bottle
I plead for her life
Thin lines of blood tremble to the cold sink
I’m pathetic
Her reflection, splayed upon me, reminds of what she has become
Weary eyes lock with mine, to no avail
I scream, not again
Hope is lost this time
I feel worthless once again
Pills bounce off the floor
The only noise to break the intolerable silence
She falls to coldness
Giving into the voices that once consumed her
Darkness surrounds me
Guilt consumes me
