One Sided Love by Evangeline Bryant

Bouquets of roses decorate my face

When your face turns ugly with expression

My little heart can no longer keep pace

You are stabbing me and I bleed passion

Cologne waves of peppermint kiss my nose

Your fragrance swallows me and I am lost

Your powerful winds strip me of my clothes

Your existence is causing me to frost

I dream to taste the sound of your deep voice

Humming, roaring, booming through my body

I hate this feeling; you leave me no choice

You wonder why I look at you oddly

Why can’t you just feel the same suffering

Your naive eyes can’t see me b u f f e r i n g
