Black Screen/ Fade in:

1 EXT. BENCH-NIGHT

Draketh (Teenager) is standing in the cold Swiss autumn hitting the winter air and weather, he is simply staring off into the distance only with bare small movements in his leg. (Sounds of synthwave Jazz begin to play quietly)

CUT TO-CLOSE UP SHOT TO THE SIDE OF HIS HEAD

He is first staring down at the ground looking melancholy towards the earth but begins to lift his head up and start blinking rapidly.

CUT TO-GROUND SHOT (BEHIND SHOULDER LEVEL OF DRAKETH)

We are then shown the ground behind him but in a blurry depth of field, as drake begins to turn his head behind him a small cardboard figure begins to lurch into the frame and become more visible as he stands motionless on the ground. For now, he is named Cardy.

The Depth of Field begins to less again as we can suddenly see a close up shot of Draketh from a god like perspective looking down on him as he eats a biscotti. By this point he is no longer looking behind him and his head is in the original position.

CUT TO-CLOSE UP SHOULDER LEVEL SHOT OF DRAKETH

Draketh

No one necessarily told you for the giggles

That you had to keep following me, yeah?

CUT TO-GROUND SHOT VIEW OF CARDY ON THE GROUND

Cardy continues to simply stand there motionless, making no response.

CUT TO PREVIOUS SHOT

Draketh

Go home asshat, leave me the hell alone

This is getting really old. (Head turning back and forth between Cardy and Nothing.)

CUT TO- GROUND SHOT OF CARDY

Cardy

No actually my friend I think that I

Am quite alright, however, I do believe if the freedoms were all mine, I may not truly even be here now. Sadly, the cooking does not very much crumble that way…yeah?

CUT-TO PREVIOUS SHOT

Draketh is looking behind him and staring at Cardy as he finished his biscotti. He remains unfazed by Cardys words.

CUT TO-EYE LEVEL SHOT

Draketh is beginning to open up his phone to see if he may have any new texts or calls, which are none.

CUT TO-MEDIUM SHOT FROM BEHIND DRAKETHS SHOULDERS

Draketh turns his head to see that Cardy is now moved closely to his side, staring at the same thing he was staring at.

CUT TO-WIDE SHOT FROM BEHIND BOTH OF THEM

As Draketh begins to fall down, to the ground in an anime girl sitting style, the camera begins to zoom out. The title of the film and its director begin to fade in into the shot with a funky pink font with a yellow background (WayWard son begins to play)

CUT TO:

INT-ROOM/NIGHT (ESTABLISHING SHOT)

(Music suddenly stops abruptly) Draketh is sitting at his computer on his editing program, we see his back as the camera captures Cardy looking at him from a close distance.

Cardy

Do you have a deep personal investment into your own commentary videos Draketh?

CUT TO:

Close up shot of Draketh (he turns around to face Cardy)

Draketh

I would like to Personally think so yes. Why do you care to ask?

Cardy

I figured why I would not?

Draketh

You know you offer up yourself to be the biggest bane on my entire existence and I do so desperately wish you could end your life? (He begins to tilt his head down with disappointment in what he said as he begins to stare at the computer again) Why are you still here, you?

CUT TO:

CLOSE UP SHOT OF CARDY

Cardy

Perhaps the only reason I remain to be here is only ever because you yourself are still here, if you were never born out of intercourse to begin with do you believe I would still be here?

Draketh

Oh, and You expect me to be able to answer that one.

Cardy

Anyone else would ask you upon it if you were at least so willing to talk to people. But since there are none, I am the one here who will ask you it.

CUT TO:

CLOSE UP OF DRAKETHS HAND ON THE MOUSE

There is an X visible on Drakeths hand.

Cardy

Why do you X your hands like that?

CUT TO:

WIDE SHOT Of DRAKETHS SIDE

Draketh

Only for the best straight edgery of course.

CUT TO:

HIGH CLOSEUP OF CARDY

Cardy

Why do you call yourself straight edge?

(HIGHLY EDITED SEGMENT)

CUT TO:

WIDE SHOT OF DRAKETH AT COMPUTER

Draketh

(Extremely sensitive and broken look of worry)

Your hellishly bullshit, I’m going to play ping pong.

Draketh begins to get up from the computer and go down to the basement, as he does, he smack cardy down, causing him to land on the carpet floor.

DISSOLVE:

INT-GARAGE/NIGHT

Lights are bright as Draketh plays ping pong by himself in the garage with soft city jazz pop playing on his phone, we see many slow motion shots of Draketh hitting the ball with the paddle in an exaggerated form. He then stops as the camera cuts to his side, and he falls to the ground, laying his head on the table.

Draketh

This is boring…

Suddenly Cardy appears before him suddenly, Draketh remains unfazed by this.

Cardy

As such on many other days, no friends today, huh?

Draketh

Shut up

Cardy

Perhaps I may play with you, yeah?

Draketh

You and what hands? I don’t even find you to be the man who can play with balls properly, no disrespect.

Cardy

None, taken…I never really consider myself much of an esteemed ball player to begin with.

Draketh

Oh no, they call you the ball fondler, don’t they? That’s why you’re so greasy. And acne induced, yeah?

Cardy

     That’s inappropriate.

Draketh

Whatever, I’m taking a walk.

(Draketh begins to leave and walk out the door)

    DISSOLVE:

EXT-NEIGHBORHOOD/NIGHT

Draketh is walking down the sidewalk near the forest, air is coming out of his mouth with each breath. He moves up to suddenly find cardy on the ground.

Draketh

This must be some sick fat fucking joke man what the hell

CUT TO

Cardy on the ground looking weird and up

Cardy

Stop taking me places

Draketh

Yeah…yeah sure, maybe I should try. Certainly would never hurt.

Draketh begins to walk off again, leaving cardy behind.

DISSOLVE TO:

(EDITED SEGMENT HERE)

DISSOLVE TO:

RESTAURANT-INT/NIGHT

Draketh is in a restaurant in Baltimore, ordering food in a line as the camera tracks him doing so handholdingly. At points showing him facing down at his food reservedly and sighing as he does, where the depth of field begins to lessen. The camera keeps tracking onto him up until he walks out the place.

BALTIMORE-EXT/NIGHT

Draketh is sitting by the Baltimore Harbor, indulging in his sandwich, staring off into the harbor. As he continues to eat, the camera jump cuts close to Drakeths face. Where he continues to eat, as he does, he glances towards his side, causing him to stop eating slowly.

CUT TO-CLOSEUP SHOT OF CARDY LOOKING AT DRAKETH, HIS BACK FACING THE CAMERA

Draketh simply just continues eating his sandwich.

(Establishing shots of the city)

CUT TO:

FLAG-EXT/NIGHT

Draketh and Cardy are sitting on a bench looking up at the flag

Cardy

Pretty yeah?

Draketh

Wish it could be prettier without you here

Cardy

You certainly don’t need me, need me anywhere

Draketh

yeah…Yeah I am sure I dont.

Cardy

Now may be the time you let me go, even if it seems quite complicated.

Draketh

I wish it would be as simple as you describe.

Cardy

Maybe if you focused more on the other things you have to focus on I would be gone.

Draketh doesn’t respond, he instead stops looking over at cardy and instead looks over at the flag. As shots of the city begin to play (radioheads electoneering begins to play as shots of Baltimore begin to play, as well as an extreme close up shot of Draketh.) He looks over to his side to see that Cardy is gone.

CUT TO:

PLAYGROUND-EXT/DAY

Draketh is walking to the playground with music playing on his headphones, unable to be heard by the viewers. He stops in his tracks as he notices Cardy sitting on the swing. Draketh continues to walk after smirking a small bit at the sight of Cardy. He sits at the swing next to Cardy.

Cardy

I may never leave you now will I?

Draketh

Not when I have to need you no.

The final shot of the short film occurs here it simply fades to black as Cardy and Draketh sit at the swings staring off into the distance.
