A day in the life of living in Mumbai

Diary 1

Dear Diary,

My first impression of Mumbai is that it is very big and busy. Everything is so different and new for me and for my family. It is an extremely busy place to live. Where different people from various cultures, religions and economic backgrounds converge to carve a path for themselves in a city that has come to be known as “the city of dreams.” This is never more evident than in the stark divides between the rich and the poor. The schools and colleges are different. I found people who spoke English and found some other people who also came here for studying. Finding another person it easier to speak and understand them.

Diary 2

Dear Diary,

Today is another new day. I learned new things today. I learned some words from Hindi. Which is the official language. They aren’t a lot but it might help me. Also I tried new food today. Everything is different here even the water tastes different. The food here has a lot of taste. They have a lot of spices. I didn’t like it the first time I ate it but then I started to like it. I have to get use to the new things here. The food, the language and also the timing.

Goodbye

Diary 3

Dear Diary,

Today wasn’t a good day. I got really sick. I think because of the food and water. I think as fast as i adjusted my stomach didn’t. My stomach did not adapt as fast as I wanted it to. I should have been more careful. I didn’t realize that it would get me sick. I couldn’t move. I had to go to the doctor as well. They said that its normal to get sick. Many people get sick because of the difference of the foods and water.Im going to go and get some rest now.

Goodnight

Diary 4

Dear Diary,

I am feeling much better now. Yesterday I was feeling really bad. But I am better now. I got up and went to school. I also took care of what I ate. I am going to be careful about what I eat from now on. I am also going to be careful of what I drink because the doctor said that it might be the water that affected me. Today I also got a little lost and didn’t know where to go. Well that’s a con of moving to different country. But I found my way. Now i’m getting use to the change. I took many tours while living there along with doing tours of our own. Mumbai is a bright, busy, colorful city full of sites and sounds everyday. I didn’t like the change before but now I’m getting use to where I am. Just wonderful people. Make great memories!
