EXT. ROSE – NIGHT

NARRATOR (V.O.)
Some say that at a time in ones own life, love is seen throughout the complexities of the human body–for some there is one in the world that can only exist for them.
FADE TO:
The bottom of the flower is not visible in a close up shot, the black and white filter remains the same and pedals slowly begin to fall off.
NARRATOR (V.O.)
This is an ideal that begins to take over many of the zeitgeist in one’s teenage year. For most, this is a concept that only exists for those in teenage years, but sadly for some the ideals and beliefs never leave their mind.
CUT TO:
INT. LIMOUSINE – NIGHT
An eye-level shot of the limousine window, the limousine is moving normally. The outside world is a visible mountain range with a few slight buildings very visible.
NARRATOR (V.O.)
In most cases, this creates a dissemblance in one’s mind on what the concept of love may become.-
Suddenly, a shadow figure passes through the limousine, barely visible.
NARRATOR (CONT’D) (V.O.)
In some cases, a room in one’s mind may not truly be finished. No matter how intelligent the individual may be, beyond their thoughts of love. Beyond their thoughts of intimate-sexual desires.
FADE TO:
INT. BEDROOM – NIGHT
Bird’s eye view shot of a man sleeping on his bed, we are introduced to our main character, Zachary, 19, a college student and game developer.
NARRATOR (V.O.)
That brings us to our story today, of one lonely little man enjoying his company. However, with thoughts of love rent-free. But this is a story to be told in its own display.
CUT TO:
INT. BEDROOM – MORNING
A close up shot of Zachary waking up in an extreme manner from his sleep, sweating in fear as he realizes he is 30 minutes late for his college class
CUT TO BIRD’S EYE VIEW OF HIS PHONE, QUICKLY ZOOMING IN.
CUT TO WIDE SHOT OF THE MAN QUICKLY GETTING OUT OF HIS BED, PANTING.
ZACHARY
(With anger and wryness) Shit!
JUMP CUT TO WIDE SHOT OF ENTIRE ROOM BEING IN FRAME, AS WE SEE THE MAN LEAVE
JUMP CUT TO MAN CHANGING IN THE ROOM
JUMP CUT TO MAN PACKING HIS BACKPACK IN A HURRY
JUMP CUT TO MAN GETTING HIS SHOES ON
JUMP CUT TO MAN BRUSHING HIS HAIR AND PUTTING ON COLOGNE IN FRONT OF A MIRROR.
JUMP CUT CLOSE UP SHOT OF THE MAN AS HE GETS READ TO EXIT THROUGH THE DOOR.
ZACHARY

Cut to close-up of Zachary struggling to use his keys to open the door

ZACHARY (CONT’D)

Cut to the previous close-up, this time with Zachary successfully opening the door and twisting the knob.
ZACHARY (CONT’D) (V.O.)

INT. APARTMENT HALLWAY — IMMEDIATELY AFTER
Credits.
A wide shot of Zachary’s apartment door, he then opens it up furiously, slamming the door on the wall and runs straight into the direction of the camera, then turns his head to his right as the camera pans towards the door at the end of the hallway, he then runs towards the door as an English version of creepy nuts daten begins to play. (Credits Play in the background, sometimes being a part of the characters world. Such as signs and addresses. All names are seen except for that of the actor and director, which are saved for when the characters appear.
CUT TO:
EXT. CITY STREET – MOMENTS LATER
Zachary is running down the street in a wide shot, he tries to tap a sign as he continues running by pouncing up on it but trips and fall nearly face first to the street. (there is a credit on the sign) He gets up almost immediately after with a roll he passes by a café where a man with a mustache, glasses and grayish hair like an anime scientist is sitting down looking at his tablet while drinking coffee somewhat sternly. This is professor wood.
CUT TO:
EXT. COLLEGE YARD – MOMENTS LATER
Zachary is running towards the entrance of the college and while running he turns his head a slight bit to take notice of a girl with brown hair, braided and a happy looking vibe surrounding her. She has braces and her name is Shirley, this is Zachs love interest. While taking note of her, trips backwards, this time on his back. The camera begins to zoom out upwards as the picture becomes more pixelated while he stares towards the camera. Suddenly, the picture changes quietly to something that isn’t the film, rather, something akin to a dungeon crawler. Suddenly, pixelated text appears reading: YOU DIED
CUT TO:
INT. CLASSROOM – NIGHT
Zachary is sitting down at a laptop in a classroom. He turns around and takes note of 2 people staring at the computer screen along with him. Juan, a Hispanic straight-edge wrestling fan currently studying film, he is just a literal filmbro(as the camera hits him in the frame a credit of his actor is shown, as well as the name of the character as the background begins to change color to match their personality), and Essence, a lesbian girl with straight black hair wearing a cap currently studying biology. Somewhat bratty but with a good heart. They all just stay there staring at each other as if they all have 4 heads.
CUT TO:
INT/EXT. EXT. CAFE – NIGHT/DOWNTOWN/
Zachary, Juan, and Essence hyperactively open the door to get out of the café and begin walking down the street away from the café, through the window of the cafe we can see prof. wood, sitting in the same chair and table he previously was at. He glances up a slight bit from the book he is reading. His eyes meet with Zach’s as they both look at each other with somewhat blank expressions. Zach looks away and continues looking ahead down the street and continues walking with a sense of relief and hidden depression. Clearly, something is wrong that he is keeping with himself.
EXT. ROOFTOP – SAME TIME
A lady in a black cloak with immodest clothing, including booty shorts and a crop top that barely doesn’t pass for a bikini. Dressed in black high-top boots with heavy makeup on the eyes that make her appear almost tired, is looking down watching the main trio walk down the street. This is Essence. As she watches the name walk a smile begins to be created on her face, it’s almost terrifying looking, deceptive, and manipulative, something is clearly wrong with her.
EXT. CAFE/STREET – THAT MOMENT
Zach takes note of Essence on the rooftop and never takes his eyes off her as he keeps walking down the street. She jumps off the building face first, then straight down like in a straight down superman stance shooting straight towards Zach. Only when she gets a few feet away from him does her head shoot back up and her cloak begins to shoot along upwards with the impact of the wind made her. Revealing her slim figure as her whole body begins to open up to Zachary. Juan and Essence are taking no note of the woman in front of them and the changing street and sky as the buildings become and fade into something more cartoonish with vendors along each street. Only Zach stands there, staring directly at Erin, his eyes seem like they are in awe, almost as if he wants to stare but his mouth has a half smirk half saddening droop to it as if he doesn’t know what to think. Erin grabs his hand with a devious, yet the somewhat innocent cute smile on her face. As the Camera brings Zach back into the frame he is suddenly wearing a black and white tuxedo suit. This time he is stunned by Erin’s behavior towards him. They both lift up to the sky
EXT. SKY/ROOFTOP/DREAM – THIS MOMENT
They rapidly reach the sky at high velocity covering the moon in the frame. They both look at each other, Erin with an expression of glee and lust. Zach has fear and is on the verge of crying. The sky is now filled with colorful cold colors of purple and midnight blue. The buildings are white and cartoonish with lights of extremely dreadful white with a little color in them, a bright glee of dread. As they begin to stop flying and levitating and their black silhouette on the moon drops out of frame. As they drop the music hits the final note showing the Title of the film along with the director.
CUT TO:
INT. BEDROOM – MORNING
Zach wakes up from his bed in a puddle of sweat aggressively from a horrific nightmare we don’t yet get to see. He eventually calms himself down with slight deep breaths. He then sits up on his bed and looks over at concept art for a video game he’s making on his wall. He has an expression of dissatisfaction as he begins to relentlessly blink and move his mouth in uncomfortable positions. (The camera slightly zooms in)
FADE IN:
EXT. BUS STOP – LATER
Zach is sitting down at a bench holding his legs tightly together as if not to break position while, though he is somewhat jittering and shivering. He’s looking around a lot but tries to keep his head down as he notices a couple walking by in front of him murmuring. As they finish walking by out of frame Zach perks his head up just a tiny bit. He then comes full up as he notices something across from him.
Shirley is standing back against a wall on the other side of the road looking down straight at the sidewalk. She perks her head up and her eyes meet with Zach, Zach already knew he would be there, hence why he sitting down on this bench as he has been for the past week. He likes her, almost more than a small crush its as if he has been enamored with her presence.
He waves at her with a smile, and as soon as Shirley sees him wave she has a confused near disgusted expression on her face. Zach stops waving and looks down at the ground in sorrow.
ESSENCE (O.S.)
Yo. (calmly almost monotone-like)
CUT TO:
EXT. BUS STOP – THAT MOMENT
Essence is standing there looking at Zach with an expression of innocent confusion.
ESSENCE
What’s up? What are you doing here?
ZACHARY
Nothing…(he says somewhat suspiciously in a low voice while looking in the other direction)
ESSENCE
Oh, okay. Me and Juan are going to the restaurant down the street. You should come.
Zach looks over to the side of the street across from him to notice Shirley is no longer standing there.
ZACHARY
Nah, I’m good actually.
ESSENCE
I don’t think you are man. You kinda just sit and stay there looking across the street at that cafe nearly every day.
Zachary is suddenly very confused and keeps moving his head to look at the cafe and Essence in rapid succession to see as if there is some secret camera watching him.
ESSENCE
You should, honestly, come with me to hang out with me and Juan man. Actually your coming.
ZACHARY
Nah I’m go-
Zachary was about to reject but Essence grabs him by the hair and hand and started pulling him towards her in an effort to get him to start walking.
ZACHARY (CONT’D)
Okay, what the hell man this is just downright forceful.
ESSENCE
“This is just downright forceful.” (She says in a tone to clearly mock Zach.) I personally find it my responsibility that we master your ways and that you stop hanging out across a cafe and getting mild erections.
Zachary suddenly stops and pulls himself together in stun confusion as a reaction to what Essence just said.
ZACHARY
You can see it? That would be insane.
ESSENCE
Of course, I can see, you weird freak.
ZACHARY
Does that mean it’s big?
Essence stops and looks at Zachary with a sense of sadness on Zach’s behalf
ESSENCE
No. You just have, like,
Essence begins to make a gesture of having minimal space between the palms of both of her hands
ESSENCE (CONT’D)
You have the most skin-tight pants known to man you dumb motherfucker. (despite her profanity there is a sense of innocent sincerity in her words)
ZACHARY
Oh. Pity me. (Zach says sarcastically somewhat)
Zach turns to look back at the cafe and notices Prof. Wood reading a book and drinking coffee.
ZACHARY
Hey Essence, do I have schizophrenia, or is that Prof. (he begins to point at the cafe) Wood?
ESSENCE
Who?
ZACHARY
Wood, the psychology teacher.
ESSENCE
Bitch. I take biology and open up animals what in my cock and balls am I gonna take notice of a psychology teacher for?
Essence punches Zach’s arm down to make him stop pointing
ESSENCE
Now put your arm down because your babbling is making me hungry and you may be helping your case of being a fat schizo.
Essence begins to start walking down the street away from the bus stop, Zach continues to look at Wood in the cafe.
ESSENCE (O.S.)
Hey, cuntie pie, you coming?
Zach stops looking towards the cafe and walks along with Essence
Zach stops looking at the cafe and begins to follow Essence down the street.
FADE TO:
INT. RESTUERANT – LATER
Juan and Essence are sitting next to each other at the booth in the restaurant with their food on the table as Zach is sitting across from them at the booth drinking only his milkshake.
JUAN
(in response to an unheard question) Oh yeah, no doubt, bringing out the dead was a masterpiece, Mandy holds not a single candle to it. (He says this with some food in his mouth.)
ESSENCE
Okay well, what about…(She waved her hands and looks up at the sky thinking about it for a moment) Leaving las Vegas?
JUAN
Okay now that, that is a strange one of a story being told. I cannot answer.
ESSENCE
Mr. Movie fucking film bro over here is unable to contest the best Nicolas Cage film. Peculiar.
JUAN
(raises his voice a tad bit) Now personally speaking I do not think I have indulged in a Nicolas Cage film with an excellent story.
ESSENCE
I am offended beyond belief.
JUAN
Wounded?
They laugh at each other for a slight bit.
ESSENCE
I am literally crying, Juan. (She says in a death-defying sarcastic tone while raising a smirk)
JUAN
Hey there Zachary, would you like to add anything to this discussion?
Zachary begins to stop slurping on the huge milkshake that he has and looks up to see Juan looking at him.
ZACHARY
Nyeh?
ESSENCE
Oh my god Juan, leave the poor bastard alone. He plays persona 5.
ZACHARY
Persona 3.
JUAN
Persona 3 is crazy.
ESSENCE
What’s the difference between them?
ZACHARY
One’s sad and the other is angry.
ESSENCE
Are you a sad or angry kind of guy Zachary?
JUAN
He can do both.
ESSENCE
Shut up.
The waiter arrives at their table delivering them their meals.
WAITER
Alright, here you go.
She first brings down Essence’s meal, hard-boiled eggs, and Ezekiel bread. while this is occurring Essences is speaking.
ESSENCE
Has it ever occurred to you Juan that we may not truly want to listen to you speak at points?
Juan’s food begins to get placed down, he is eating a stack of pancakes with maple syrup and butter.
WAITER
Here is your big-ass goldmine of pancakes.
JUAN
So rude you know? Perhaps I just wanted to be included. Perhaps my presence was apparent before your eyes and ears so you can remember me till the end of time
Zachary’s food begins to arrive, a simple chocolate milkshake (Yes, again).
The Waiter places his shakedown
.
WAITER
Alright, here’s the second one.
Unlike his friends, he just sits there and drinks his milkshake without a care about his friends bickering.
ESSENCE
I think I would be lucky enough to not remember anything from this era of my life.
JUAN
Bitch, with the way our lives are going this, is gonna be your whole era.
ESSENCE
You know what Juan? Maybe you should get a knife and swipe it across your throat.
JUAN
Jesus man…Zachary, I think she’s a persona 5 fan.
Essence begins to subtly assert more dominance among her friends by leaning in and giving in to more erratic movements.
ESSENCE
Don’t even think of larping me in with you filthy degenerates.
During this entire conversation, Zachary is looking at both of them but never releasing his mouth off the straw in the milkshake.
ESSENCE (CONT’D)
While you fags enjoy staring across the street at those filthy bricked walls of your future I am slowly becoming the best biologist in this county.
JUAN
I think I can be a pretty good biologist, I can cut shit open.
ESSENCE
We do more than cut shit open.
JUAN
True but have you ever cut open your mom? I have.
Juan begins to laugh hysterically looking over at Zachary in an attempt for a high-five but Zachary never takes his mouth off the straw. He simply just looks up at him.
JUAN (WHILE LAUGHING)
Okay now hold on that was pretty good yeah?
Essence then begins to lean in and bring out her arm preparing for a slap to the face of Juan. Until Zachary Finally zone’s into the situation and stopped it from happening.
ZACHARY
May I please just happily enjoy my milkshake?
JUAN
She’s trying to shoot on me?!
Essence calms herself down and adjusts her position back to normal and begins to start eating.
ESSENCE
Fuck you, Juan.
Juan begins to smile deliriously
JUAN
Do not threaten me with such a good time yo.
Essence chuckles a slight bit, almost choking on her food.
ZACHARY
You should stop man…she’s choking.
JUAN
Choke on deez nuts! hahaha.
Essence begins to stretch her arm out, the forceful velocity causes an extreme sound echoing into a cut and the next scene.
CUT TO:
EXT. RESTAURANT – LATER
All 3 characters are walking out of the restaurant. Juan is in the front holding a conversation with Essence who stands to his side, as Zachary continues to drink his Milkshake as he looks up at the sky.
